As 9 v 9 becomes more established in England as a productive learning tool for young players, it is probably beneficial to ask some questions about how it can be best used to their advantage.
So is it?
- Exclusively the Barcelona 3. 2. 3.
- Learning a variety of different systems and rotating them every couple of weeks
- Adapting to the players the coach has in the squad and playing in a way that suits them
- Getting maximum game time for talented individuals within the group
- Adjusting how we play according to how our opponents play
- Strategically playing people out of position to gain them all round experience
Much of the above may be down to club philosophy or individual preference, but whatever the decision there is no getting away from:
